FM Logistic achieves “B” score from CDP for environmental practices, better than the industry’s averageGroup
In 2018 FM Logistic received a B- from the reporting firm CDP for its environmental policy, well above the sector’s average of D. According to CDP, the B- score means that FM Logistic is “taking coordinated action on climate change issues.”
FM Logistic has improved its score from C to B- and is now among the top 13 percent performers evaluated by CDP, regardless of the country of origin and industry sector. In addition, FM Logistic achieved an A- score (above the general average of C) for its “ability to engage with its suppliers on climate change.”
The better ranking of FM Logistic reflects the company’s actions to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve carbon neutrality for its warehousing and co-packing activities by 2030. Already half of the warehouses operated by FM Logistic are HQE or LEED certified. FM Logistic is also developing its Citylogin urban logistics service, which combines the use of environmentally-friendly vehicles and logistics sites located close to city centres.
Each year, the environmental rating agency CDP ranks companies’ efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The CDP report has become a reference point for many customers of the logistics industry sector and investors alike. In 2018, about 7,000 companies disclosed data about their environmental impacts to CDP for independent assessment.
